We choose this state park as it is close to us and has a swim beach. We went around 10:30 am. Drove around the park which was beautiful. Sadly I did not take any pictures. Park has several access to water, campgrounds and boat rentals. Entry fee is $10.

We choose a spot near the swim beach and pitched our tent. Once the cloud cover disappeared, man it was hot! But in about 15 minutes we got the cloud cover again and it was good.

We dipped our feet in water and had some fun on the mud. I wish we had sand but oh well! Just as we were enjoying, there came the drizzle. Thunderstorms were not predicted. But yet we had it. We waited for it to pass but it was on and off drizzle. The weather got so very pleasant which I liked. We moved on to picnic bench, had our lunch. The weather in Colorado shifts so drastically in just 15 minutes. Thanks to the rain we had our lunch in much cooler temperature.
