This one is located in the South Platte park. We have actually been here before as we have visited South platte park a couple of times. It was a sunny hot day and we did try to start our hike early. There were a lot of people with their tubes for tubing in the South platte river. We did the short 2 mile loop around the lake. No shade but we took a halt at a shelter in between.
